The collaboration between Glenn Close and Kim Kardashian on the controversial series “All’s Fair” has sparked an intriguing conversation about professionalism and talent. Close, a seasoned actress, was pleasantly surprised by Kardashian’s dedication and preparation on set.
“Kim’s seriousness of intent was remarkable,” Close shared with Variety. “She always knew her lines, was punctual, and well-prepared. It’s clear she respects the craft and is eager to learn.”
Close, 78, also highlighted Kardashian’s humility and the smart choices she made in surrounding herself with experienced professionals. “She’s not a big ego, and that made working with her a pleasure.”
But here’s where it gets controversial: despite Close’s praise, the show received overwhelmingly negative reviews. At one point, it held a shocking 0% critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes, now at a mere 3%.
Kardashian, who has aspirations to become a lawyer, recently failed the bar exam. Yet, she handled the disappointing reviews with humor, posting on social media: “Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year?!”
Close, however, defended the series, stating that the first three episodes were the weakest but that the show “adds up to something” when viewed in its entirety.
“The Kardashians have an image, and not everyone likes them,” Close added.
So, what’s your take? Is Kim Kardashian’s performance on “All’s Fair” a sign of her potential as an actress, or was it simply a case of good preparation and a supportive team? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
