iOS 26 Apple Wallet: Order Tracking & Digital ID – What’s New!

Apple Wallet has received two significant upgrades with the release of iOS 26, addressing long-standing issues with its features. The first improvement is a new order tracking system powered by Apple Intelligence, which eliminates the need for third-party services and merchants’ input. This system can automatically extract order details from vendor emails, providing a centralized hub for tracking online purchases. Users can access their orders by tapping the ‘Orders’ option in the Wallet app’s menu and configuring push notifications for updates. The second major update is the introduction of Digital ID, a feature that allows users to store and present digital versions of their driver’s licenses and state IDs in the Wallet app. Unlike traditional digital IDs, Digital ID is not a replacement for physical licenses but serves as a useful tool for age and identity verification at TSA checkpoints and select businesses. Apple is actively promoting the acceptance of Digital ID at over 250 US airports, with plans to expand its usage. The company hopes that this initiative will encourage more states to adopt digital driver’s licenses, making Wallet a more comprehensive ID hub.
